Oldfields and the IMA

May 24: Late spring lingered in Indianapolis for this visit to the gardens of J. K. Lilly, Jr.'s 26-acre Oldfields and the grounds of the Indianapolis Museum of Art. The Oldfields' mansion seen from the allee designed by Percival Gallagher of Olmsted Brothers and the ravine garden:

Garden Walk 2008

After a week of heavy rain, we had a beautiful evening for this years garden walk, almost a hike really, in the neighborhood bounded by Independence, 13th, Pennsylvania and 8th. Sandy led the way from our rendezvous at 10th & South Carolina:
